Emotional dependency
Therapy for emotional dependency, to recover your centre.
You know that relationship hurts you and yet you cannot let it go. It is not weakness or lack of willpower. I accompany you to understand that hook and to build a kind of love that does not require you to disappear.
Does this sound familiar?
Recognise what you are living.
Emotional dependency disguises itself as intense love, and that is why it is so hard to see from the inside. This is what I usually hear in consultation.
- “I know it is not good for me, but the idea of losing them terrifies me.
- “I check their phone, their online status, everything. And I hate myself for it.
- “I have stopped seeing my friends to stay available.
- “If they do not reply within an hour, I cannot think of anything else.
- “Outside the relationship I feel like I am nobody.
- “I always end up in the same kind of relationship, with a different person.
How I work on it
The Conscious Decision
Programme applied to your bonds.
The Conscious Decision Programme applied to emotional dependency combines science, awareness and practical experience so that your wellbeing depends on you again.
Over five sessions we go through a process that understands where the hook comes from, rebuilds your identity and changes the way you bond.

Session 01
Your story with bonds
We rebuild your current relationship and previous ones. Patterns become visible when you line the stories up.
- The current bond and its dynamic
- The pattern that repeats
Session 02
The knot of the hook
We find where that way of loving comes from. A learned attachment style, a fear of abandonment that decides for you, self-worth propped up outside yourself.
- Origin of the attachment style
- The fear that sustains the hook
Session 03
A change of perspective
You tell love apart from need. Once you see the difference from within, decisions that seemed impossible start to fall into place on their own.
When your perspective changes, your emotion changes, and when your emotion changes, your way of loving changes.
Session 04
Practical reprogramming
You rebuild your own life. Spaces, bonds and decisions that give you back your identity, with tools for moments of relapse.
- Boundaries that hold
- Your own life recovered step by step
Session 05
Closure and autonomy
You close the process with your own criteria for future bonds and the certainty that being alone has stopped being frightening.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about emotional dependency
It is one of the most common reasons for consultation and one that carries the most shame. This is what people ask me most.
How do I know if it is love or dependency?
Love adds and leaves room. Dependency subtracts and shrinks you. If your daily wellbeing depends on what the other person does or does not do, it is worth looking at.
Do I have to leave my relationship to do therapy?
No. The work starts with you, not with the relationship. Sometimes the bond improves as you change, and sometimes you decide to leave. That decision arrives on its own once you are stronger.
Why do I always repeat the same pattern?
Because the pattern was learned before that relationship, usually long before. That is why changing partners does not solve it, and working on the origin does.
Can you leave a dependency of many years?
Yes. How long you have been in the pattern does not determine the way out. With the right process, the way of bonding can be relearned at any age.
Can I do therapy online without anyone knowing?
Yes. Video calls let you start from a private space, without travel or explanations to anyone. Many people take that first step this way and tell those around them once they feel ready.
